JazzMasters Workshop – Transforming Lives Through Mentoring & Music

JazzMasters Workshop (JMW) is an innovative non-profit program that transforms adolescent lives in a positive and musically rich environment.

Bruce Forman, internationally renowned guitarist, distinguished music educator, and in-kind philanthropist founded JMW – a national music-mentoring program - that has touched the lives of thousands of young people in communities across America.

Under Forman's leadership, JMW has provided over 2000 free-of-charge sessions to kids and teens of all skill levels and backgrounds. JMW programs encompass music appreciation, training and performance across the spectrum of American music styles and rhythms. The weekly workshops occur during after-school hours and are staffed by prominent professionals whose dedicated coaching lends students the opportunity to perform with some of America's most respected artists. JMW builds knowledge, skills and confidence in young people by enabling them to play and learn from the very best musicians in a nurturing and participatory environment.

Each year Bruce Foreman and his band Cow Bop travel the historical Route 66 Highway to raise money for the JMW.
